Construction of Somerset County Street Sweepings Buildings

This notice announces the opening of sealed bids for the construction of Somerset County Street Sweepings Buildings located at 360 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough, New Jersey. The bid opening will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the County Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Administration Building in Somerville, New Jersey. Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes addressed to Melissa A. Kosensky, Purchasing Agent, and clearly marked with the contract name and number, along with the bidder's name and address on the outside. The bid opening will be live-streamed for transparency, with bidders and bid amounts announced during the process. A bid review will not occur at the opening; instead, unit prices will be posted on the Purchasing webpage once available. For downloading specifications and plans, contact the Purchasing Division at PurchasingDiv@somersetcountynj.gov. A form of identification and company information is required for access to plans. Hard copies of the contract documents can be requested through the Engineering Office at EngineeringDiv@somersetcountynj.gov for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 payable to the Somerset County Treasurer. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10th at 10:00 AM at the project site, though attendance is not mandatory. Bidders must submit a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for 10% of the total bid price, not exceeding $20,000.00, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full bid amount from an authorized Surety Company. All bid addenda will be issued on the County website, and it is the responsibility of bidders to stay informed of any updates. Bidders must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.
