Background The City of High Point is issuing this Invitation to Bid for the procurement of Sludge Thickening and Dewatering Polymer. The goal is to establish a supplier for the water mains department, ensuring effective sludge management at their wastewater treatment facilities. Work Details The successful bidder shall provide sludge thickening liquid cationic emulsion polymer to the City of High Point's Residuals Management Division. The delivery locations include: - Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant (5898 Riverdale Road, Jamestown, NC 27282) - Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant (1044 W Burton Road, Thomasville, NC 27360) Estimated annual usage is approximately 250,000 pounds of polymer. Bidders must supply the product in 275-gallon IBC totes and ensure immediate availability upon contract award. Delivery must occur within four calendar days of receiving an order, during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM). All products must be accompanied by a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and comply with OSHA standards. Additionally, suppliers are responsible for training city personnel on product usage and safety protocols. Period of Performance The contract will be awarded for a one-year period beginning May 1, 2026, and ending April 30, 2027. There is an option to renew for four additional one-year periods if mutually agreed upon by both parties. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 5898 Riverdale Road, Jamestown, NC 27282 and the Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1044 W Burton Road, Thomasville, NC 27360. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered with the NC Secretary of State if organized as a corporation or LLC. They should provide references from municipal customers currently using their product. Bidders are encouraged to include minority participation in their proposals as per General Statute 143-48 and Executive Order #77.
