Background The County of Bergen, New Jersey, through its Department of Public Works, Operations Division, Road Department, is seeking to procure emergency tree removal services. This contract aims to ensure the timely and efficient removal of trees that pose hazards on county-owned roads, thereby enhancing public safety and maintaining road accessibility. The contract is intended for a period of 24 months with an option for one 12-month renewal. Work Details The contractor will provide emergency tree removal services as required by the County of Bergen. This includes but is not limited to: assessing hazardous trees, removing fallen or dangerous trees from roadways, and ensuring that all work complies with local regulations and safety standards. The contractor must be equipped to respond promptly to emergency situations and have the necessary tools and personnel available at all times. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon the date of award and will last for a period of 24 months, with an option for one additional 12-month renewal. Place of Performance Services will be performed on county-owned roads within Bergen County, New Jersey. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with the County's set-aside program for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE), and Small Business Enterprises (SBE). Additionally, vendors must complete a certification indicating non-involvement in prohibited activities in Russia or Belarus as per N.J.S.A. 52:32-60.1 et seq.
