Background The Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking proposals for the CC Dam Valve House – Accumulator Hydraulic Upgrades. The current accumulator hydraulic system, which dates back to the mid-1960s, is no longer dependable and operates critical valves at the dam. The goal of this contract is to upgrade the hydraulic system to ensure reliable operation of the 60” gate and 36” pivot valves located at the downstream end of the low flow outlet. Work Details The contractor will provide all necessary parts, components, and associated manuals for a complete upgrade of the accumulator hydraulic system. Specific requirements include: - One actuator for a 36” pivot valve designed to fail closed, with a transformer to convert power from 480VAC to 230V. - One actuator for a 60” gate valve designed to fail in place, also with a transformer from 480VAC to 230V. - Measurement and fabrication of any necessary mounting adapters for existing valve mounting plates. - The new accumulator must fit in the existing space, and cylinders must fit within headspace constraints. - Connections between the accumulator and cylinders should utilize flexible hoses while minimizing rigid piping. - Electrical components should be installed approximately five to six feet above finished floor level. - A five-year warranty on all components provided is required. Period of Performance The project is expected to commence upon contract award with specific timelines for proposal submission due by February 20, 2026, and contractor selection by March 17, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the CC Dam Valve House located at 6613 Ashby Lane, Trinidad, TX 75163.
