The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Services (AAIHS) will require professional healthcare (i.e., medically necessary outpatient/inpatient services) from local specialty health care providers & hospitals for the Purchase/Referred Care (PRC) eligible American Indian & Alaskan Natives. Services will not take place in IHS clinics or IHS hospitals, but at the Contractor's facility. Background The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Services (AAIHS) is seeking professional healthcare services for Purchase/Referred Care (PRC) eligible American Indian and Alaskan Natives. The goal of this contract is to provide medically necessary outpatient and inpatient services through local specialty healthcare providers and hospitals. These services will not occur in IHS clinics or hospitals but rather at the contractor's facilities. This initiative aligns with the IHS's mission to ensure access to quality healthcare for AI/AN populations. Work Details The contractor will provide a range of professional healthcare services including, but not limited to: - cardiology - orthopedics - radiology - general surgery - oncology - podiatry - orthotics - prosthetics - dialysis - ophthalmology - eye surgery - urology - renal dialysis. Services must be ordered by designated IHS physicians or authorized representatives. The contract specifies that it is a non-personal healthcare contract; thus, services will be provided independently by qualified medical providers at their facilities. The contractor must accept reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare Care Fee Schedule. Additionally, the contractor agrees to offer the same rates to tribal entities referring their patients. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of 12 months starting from February 4, 2026, through February 3, 2027. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the contractor's facilities located in New Mexico and Colorado.
