The Oakland University Police Department issues this RFP to support its mission of providing a secure and responsive campus community by seeking a vendor for police vehicle upfitting. Work Details The vendor will be responsible for upfitting two police vehicles annually over a five-year period. The upfitting must ensure that the completed vehicles match the functionality, fit, and finish of existing fleet vehicles. Specific equipment to be installed includes: - Sirens - Emergency lighting - Motorola P25 radio systems - MDC installation - Radar systems - Aftermarket vehicle equipment such as push-bumpers or truck bed slides. Each vehicle will have standards including Ford Interceptor Utility with specific installations such as: - Metal front and rear prisoner partitions - Plastic prisoner seating - Center console installations with various controls and devices (P25 Radio, citation printer, siren controller) - Radar units on the dash - Dashcam systems (Motorola Watchguard 4RE) - Bodycam docking stations (Motorola V300) - Rear mounted metal equipment cabinets - Cellular modems - Lightbar controllers with multiple lighting configurations. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a five-year period with two vehicles being upfitted each year. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide evidence of relevant experience and qualifications including at least three client references from similar projects completed in the last five years. Proposals must include detailed pricing covering licensing, implementation, training, support, data retention, customization, optional add-ons; compliance with insurance requirements; and acknowledgment of all addenda issued during the RFP process.
