Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) South Atlantic Water Science Center (SAWSC) is seeking to procure internet services to support the Water Mission Area. The goal of this contract is to ensure a robust backbone infrastructure for data transfer as the Department of the Interior transitions away from physical servers and storage devices. The current service is provided by AT&amp;T and requires a new Internet Service Provider (ISP) to deliver 1 Gbps bi-directional Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) with IPv6 capability, meeting or exceeding Federal Government security standards. Work Details The contractor shall install and maintain unmanaged DIA with full bi-directional speed of 1 Gbps. Specific tasks include: - Providing five static IP addresses, including one for the USGS router. - Installing necessary lines to the demarcation point and extending connectivity to the USGS IT room. - Testing the circuit to ensure compliance with performance standards. - Ensuring that all installations include labor, parts, hardware, firmware, and software necessary for optimal performance. - Providing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) that guarantees 24/7 support and 99% uptime. Period of Performance The contract will have a base year with installation and service completion required by March 1, 2026, followed by four option years for continued service.
