The National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) is looking for a contractor to perform Custodial and Artifact Cleaning. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, supplies, and non-personal services necessary to perform custodial, disinfection, and artifact cleaning services, 24-hours a day at the NMUSA, as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). In an effort to provide a clean and safe environment, promoting a positive experience for visitors coming to the museum while ensuring the safety of our NMUSA employees, volunteers, and contractor staff, the contractor shall perform all tasks under the conditions and standards prescribed. Please see the RFI attachments for further details. Please be advised that a DRAFT Performance Work Statement has been included. Since this is a draft, there will be changes made. The RFI shall close on Thursday, 25 February, 2026 at 8:00AM EST. Background The National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) is seeking a contractor to provide custodial and artifact cleaning services. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe environment for visitors while promoting a positive experience and ensuring the safety of NMUSA employees, volunteers, and contractor staff. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, supplies, and non-personal services to perform these tasks 24 hours a day as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work Details The contractor shall perform custodial, disinfection, and artifact cleaning services as defined in the PWS. Key tasks include: 1. Providing all personnel and equipment necessary for custodial services; 2. Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations; 3. Implementing a Quality Control Plan to maintain service standards; 4. Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of floors; 5. Safely disposing of sharps medical waste; 6. Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces every two hours; 7. Preparing a bleach solution for disinfection while adhering to specific guidelines regarding its use; 8. Maintaining records of all chemicals used along with Safety Data Sheets (SDS); 9. Completing training requirements related to security and anti-terrorism measures.
