Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the inspection and cleaning of two 50,000-gallon potable water tanks located at Tuzigoot National Monument in Arizona. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety, structural integrity, and water quality of these tanks through a comprehensive inspection and cleaning process that adheres to AWWA C652 standards and local health regulations. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Pre-Work Preparation: Notify public health agencies if required, coordinate tank filling procedures with park staff, secure entry permits, conduct air quality assessments, apply disinfectant according to AWWA C652 standards, set up confined space entry procedures, isolate the tank from service and drain safely. 2. Internal Inspection: Inspect both tanks per AWWA and other relevant standards; visually inspect internal components including floor, walls, roof, seams, joints, plumbing fittings; check for corrosion, coating deterioration, biological growth, cracks or structural defects; document findings with photographs/videos; measure sediment depth; note safety or structural concerns for repairs. 3. External Inspection: Inspect tank exterior and surrounding area including shell, foundation, supports, coatings and corrosion.
