Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), part of the United States Department of the Interior, is responsible for managing public lands and resources. This base was utilized for mixing and loading fire retardant onto aircraft for wildfire suppression. Work Details The contractor will be required to remove the top six inches of aggregate from the site and replace it with an aggregate base course that meets FAA Airport Construction Standards (AC 150/5370-10) and P-208 specifications. The new fill must be compacted to 90%. This work is essential for ensuring that the site is safe and compliant with environmental standards. Period of Performance The estimated period of performance for this contract is 45 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with work expected to be performed in Spring 2025 when temperatures allow.
