Background The Commonwealth of Virginia, through its Department of Corrections and the Corrections Construction Unit, is issuing this solicitation to procure commercial doors, frames, hardware, and glazing. The goal is to award a contract to a single responsive and responsible contractor who can furnish and deliver these materials as specified in the solicitation documents. This procurement aims to support the operational needs of the Department of Corrections. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish and deliver the following items: Doors, Frames, Hardware, & Glazing. The delivery must be made FOB destination to the specified location. Excluded from this contract are door labels numbered 1, 4, and 51. The contractor must provide a detailed list of materials being offered that aligns with the specifications outlined in various sections including: - Section 087100 - Door Hardware - Section 081113 - Steel Doors & Frames - Section 081416 - Flush Wood Door - Section 085653 - Security Windows - Section 088000 - Glazing. Bidders should disregard any references to installation as it will be performed by the Virginia Department of Corrections. A full detailed packing list must accompany each delivery for verification by CCU prior to sign-off. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon award and extend until all items have been delivered and accepted by the agency. Specific timelines for delivery will be determined based on the awarded bid. Place of Performance Deliveries are to be made to the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Corrections at 3500 Beaumont Rd., Beaumont, VA 23014. Bidder Requirements Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for February 17, 2026. They are required to submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan as part of their bid response. Bidders must also provide evidence of compliance with this plan if awarded a contract over $100,000. All bidders must be registered in eVA and comply with all applicable laws regarding business operations in Virginia.
