The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Industrial Production Facility New Orleans requires a vendor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the cleaning of the exhaust system onboard the USCGC Saginaw during their dockside from APR 13 - MAY 18. For a more detailed breakdown of what is required please see attached statement of work (SOW) and ship drawings.
The contractor shall supply all necessary materials, including but not limited to: Please see attached SOW for complete list of requirements for this project as well as associated drawings for shipboard systems. All materials must be new, of good quality, and meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
The contractor shall perform the complete cleaning of all exhaust components as outlined in the SOW and associated schematics.
Refer to the attached Statement of Work for detailed specifications, illustrations, and Points of Contact (POCs) for arranging site visits.

Background The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking a contractor to provide services for the cleaning of the exhaust system onboard the USCGC Saginaw during its dockside maintenance period. This solicitation is part of the agency's mission to maintain operational readiness and safety of its vessels. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the exhaust systems are thoroughly cleaned and maintained in compliance with industry standards. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the cleaning of the exhaust system onboard the USCGC Saginaw. The scope includes: 1. Cleaning of Main Diesel Engine (MDE) exhaust piping system and associated stack uptakes, ensuring all surfaces are free from soot, tar, and other contaminants. 2. Cleaning of Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) exhaust piping system for both #1 and #2 SSDG, including stack uptakes. 3. Cleaning of Boiler exhaust stack uptakes. 4. All cleaning must include disconnecting exhaust piping as necessary, vacuuming debris, reassembling piping with new gaskets, and performing inspections post-cleaning to ensure compliance with specifications outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). 5. The contractor must develop a waste disposal plan for cleaning materials and debris in accordance with federal regulations.
