Background The contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the operation and maintenance of government-owned facilities and equipment associated with the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway and Okatibbee Lake Projects located in Alabama and Mississippi. The goal of this contract is to ensure that these facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition to support public use and environmental stewardship. Work Details The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and any other items necessary to satisfy the requirements of this contract. Key tasks include: 1. Management and Administrative Personnel: Provide adequate personnel for management duties including supervision, personnel management, work planning, scheduling, quality control, maintenance data entry, recordkeeping, safety, and property management. 2. Cleaning Services: Perform routine cleaning services including refuse removal from facilities and public areas. Ensure cleanliness standards are met as per the cleaning frequency schedule. 3. Grass Mowing and Maintenance: Mow grass and maintain landscaped areas according to specified schedules. Grass must be cut to a height between 1.5 inches and 3 inches. 4. Operation of Wastewater Treatment Facilities: Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems as required by state regulations. 5. Visitor Center Operations: Manage reception desks at visitor centers including welcoming visitors, answering inquiries, maintaining cleanliness, and handling emergency situations. 6. Dumpster Services: Provide waste collection services including the provision of dumpsters for waste disposal in compliance with local regulations. 7. Boundary Line Maintenance: Clear underbrush along property lines and repaint boundary markers as necessary. 8. Maintenance of Buildings and Structures: Conduct repairs on buildings including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, carpentry work, etc. 9. Channel Maintenance: Remove snags from navigation channels to ensure safe passage for vessels. 10. Flood Response/Recovery: Prepare facilities for floods by locking doors, freeze-proofing water systems, monitoring river levels, and cleaning up after flood events. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations along the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway and Okatibbee Lake Projects in Alabama and Mississippi.
