Background The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School, located within the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Reservation, serves approximately 1,200 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. It is a federally operated school under the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Education, providing high-quality general and special education programming. The goal of this contract is to provide occupational therapy services to special education students as required by their Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Approximately 72 students currently receive occupational therapy services. Work Details The contractor is responsible for providing two licensed and nationally certified Occupational Therapists who will deliver individual occupational therapy to special education students. Key duties include: performing student evaluations; completing evaluations within established timelines; providing ongoing therapy based on individual needs; attending special education meetings; collaborating with school staff and parents; maintaining IEPs according to regulations; providing comprehensive evaluations; and utilizing the 'Zones of Regulation' curriculum. Therapists will work 2-3 days per week for 8 hours each day during the school year, excluding federal holidays and scheduled closures.
