Background The City of Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking competitive bids for the supply of ductile pipes as part of a twelve-month term and supply contract with options for renewal. The goal is to ensure a reliable source of high-quality ductile pipes for municipal projects. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of various sizes of ductile iron pipes, specifically: 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 16”, 20”, 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, 48”, 54”, and 60” diameter pipes. All pipes must be Class 52 or heavier, made from ASTM A-536 Grade 60-42-10 Ductile Iron, cement mortar lined, and coated inside and out with an asphaltic coating. The joints must be push-on type with synthetic rubber gaskets. The supplier must provide all necessary accessories and ensure that all products meet the specified quality standards. Period of Performance The initial contract period will commence on March 1, 2026, and conclude on February 28, 2027. There are options to renew the contract for up to four additional one-year periods. Place of Performance The products will be delivered to designated locations within the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a tax clearance letter from the City’s Commissioner of Revenue dated within ninety days prior to submission. They must also submit a current copy of their Certificate of Good Standing from the Missouri Secretary of State and a valid business license from the City.
