Background The USDA Forest Service, Southern Area Incident Support Cache, located in London, Kentucky, provides equipment and supplies to various wildland agencies in the 13 Southern States and Puerto Rico for responding to emergencies such as wildfires, floods, and hurricanes. The goal of this contract is to lease four (4) 2020 model or newer 53-foot Dry Van Trailers for pre-positioning emergency response supplies to support ongoing incidents and ensure rapid deployment when necessary. Work Details The contractor is required to provide a five-year lease for four (4) 2020 model or newer 53’ Dry Van Trailers. The trailers must be in excellent condition with no exterior damage and should meet the following technical requirements: - Fully enclosed to protect contents from weather and theft. - Minimum cargo capacity of 40,000 lbs. not exceeding 45,000 lbs. - Width shall not exceed 102 inches; height shall not exceed 13’5” empty. - Include a minimum of five (5) photos of the exterior and two (2) photos of the interior of each trailer. - Must meet all current USDOT requirements for Dry Van Trailers. - Tires must have a minimum tread depth of 10/32 at delivery. - All trailers must pass a mechanical inspection prior to delivery, with documentation provided to the Cache Manager. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the USDA Forest Service Southern Area Incident Support Cache located in London, Kentucky.
