Background The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for the purchase and delivery of a Liquid Salt Brine Maker. The goal of this contract is to enhance ITD's capabilities in producing liquid salt brine, which is essential for winter road maintenance and safety. Work Details The contractor is required to provide a Liquid Salt Brine Maker system that meets specific requirements including: 1. The system must be an Accubrine® NXT-Gen automated brine maker or an equivalent, capable of producing a minimum of 200 gallons of brine per minute or 6,000 gallons per hour. 2. The salt hopper must have a minimum capacity of 4.5 cubic yards and be constructed from high-strength fiberglass with specific cleaning capabilities. 3. The automatic brine maker production system must include various fittings, valves, and stainless steel components to ensure durability and performance. 4. A control system that monitors brine concentration and allows remote access via the internet is required. 5. Installation and training services must be provided by the contractor within specified timeframes, including onsite training for ITD personnel on operation and maintenance. Period of Performance The contract will be performed within ninety (90) calendar days after receipt of order (ARO) for delivery and installation. Place of Performance The delivery location is the Idaho Transportation Department at 600 West Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815, with installation at Sheep Creek: 378873 US-95, De Smet ID 83824.
