Background The City of Douglasville, Georgia, is seeking qualified firms to provide building commissioning services for the new Douglasville City Hall project. This project involves the demolition of the existing City Hall and two additional buildings, followed by the construction of a new three-story City Hall building with a total area of 41,641 square feet. The goal is to ensure that all systems are properly installed and function as intended, while also incorporating sustainable design concepts where feasible. Work Details The selected Commissioning Agent (CxA) will be responsible for managing the commissioning process throughout various phases of the project, including: - Planning and managing the full commissioning process. - Conducting design phase kickoff meetings and developing preliminary commissioning plans. - Coordinating with design professionals to incorporate commissioning specifications into construction documents. - Performing construction phase activities such as reviewing submittals, developing functional test procedures, maintaining deficiency logs, and verifying corrections. - Ensuring that all commissioned systems are operational within 10 months after substantial completion.
