Work Details The contract involves supplying liquid aluminum-based coagulants, specifically polyaluminum chloride (PAC1) or polyaluminum chlorohydrates with an aluminum concentration of at least 15.9% and 1% copper sulfate. The estimated quantity required is approximately 3,900,000 pounds per year, delivered in bulk loads ranging from 40,000 to 47,500 pounds. The coagulant must meet ANSI/NSF Standard 60 requirements for potable water treatment and be free from biological growth. Vendors must provide a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) with each delivery and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Additionally, vendors are required to conduct jar testing to demonstrate the effectiveness of their product on BPUB's raw water. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for one year from the date of the purchase order, with options to renew for two additional one-year periods based on satisfactory performance and pricing.
