Background The University of North Dakota (UND) Facilities Management team is seeking bids from qualified electrical contractors to provide Electrical/Data Labor Services and specified materials. The goal of this contract is to support the in-house electrical team with planned projects, maintenance, and emergency work related to electrical and data/telecommunications systems on campus. Work Details The selected contractor will be responsible for a wide range of electrical and data/telecommunications services, including but not limited to: - Installation, repair, maintenance, and modification of electrical systems. - Power distribution systems up to 12,470 volts. - Lighting systems and controls. - Troubleshooting and emergency electrical repairs. - Installation and testing of fire alarm systems. - Installation, termination, and testing of data cabling (Cat 6/Cat6A). - Installation, termination, and testing of fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode). - Installation and testing of patch panels and fiber enclosures. - Providing testing reports for all telecommunications terminations. - Installation/testing of camera and other security systems as directed. The contractor must employ a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), and subcontracting work is strictly prohibited. Period of Performance The contract period is expected to begin on February 20, 2026, and continue until January 19, 2027. Place of Performance The services will be performed on the University of North Dakota campus. Bidder Requirements Bidding contractors must hold a valid Contractor's Electrical License, employ a Master Electrician, and have a technician with BICSI RCDD Certification. All costs associated with required listings must be included in the bid price. Contractors must also maintain valid insurance throughout the duration of the contract.
