All work is to be performed at the Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center. General scope of work includes: The purpose of this effort is for the existing flooring in Building 6 that contains asbestos and requires comprehensive removal. Additionally, the project will involve demolition of partition walls, bathroom fixtures, CMU walls, and heating systems. All equipment will be moved by VA prior to work starting. VA will contract a third-party to provide air monitoring once abatement plan is received and accepted. Also, a brief overview of the construction work will be included with SOW. It has been determined that there are enough qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Own Small Business (SDVOSB) firms that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 562910 Remediation Services with a size standard of $25.0. Therefore, this procurement is 100% set-aside for SDVOSB. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. It is anticipated that this contract will be awarded o/a February 2026. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the information for bid details, specifications, drawings, and contract forms will be available on http://www.sam.gov in electronic format only. Should be available on or about January 16, 2026. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation by the time of bid opening. Once the solicitation is released, bids will be accepted electronically only, due to ongoing safety concerns regarding the COVID -19 pandemic.
