Background This solicitation is issued by the U.S. Army as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products, specifically for traffic message boards. Work Details The contract involves the delivery of 4 each solar-powered, portable changeable message signs with the following salient characteristics: - Brand Name: Part Number: MB14281 - Graphic Capability with MUTCD Symbols and Arrows patterns - Quick Message Selection - Minimum character height of 18 inches - Display capability of 3 lines of text and graphics with dimensions no less than 142” x 81” - Independent modules ensuring that if one fails, the remaining board operates unaffected - Hydraulic lifting controls for raising and lowering the display - Removable tongue with a tongue jack (with wheel) and hitch for a 2” ball - Lockable cabinets with password protection - NTCIP Controller Standard compliance - Photocell for auto dimming and RF immunity - A minimum of two 110-watt solar panels and six batteries included - All units must be made in the USA and come fully assembled. A specification sheet must be provided with the solicitation. Period of Performance Delivery is expected within 30 days after award. Place of Performance The products will be shipped to two locations: 86th TD at Fort McCoy, WI, and 87th TD in Birmingham, AL.
