Background The National Park Service, Northeast Region, ConOps East, BOST MABO, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction work at Pier 1 within the Charlestown Navy Yard of Boston National Historic Park, Boston, Massachusetts. The goal of this contract is to address emergency repairs needed to ensure the structural integrity and safety of Pier 1. Work Details The work includes the following tasks: - Repairs of concrete encased steel beams within three pier vaults; - Repairs of sinkholes on the topside of the pier deck; - Repair of concrete delamination on the pier underdeck; - Repairs to the existing steel barge; - Repair to the connection between an aluminum gangway and concrete deck platform. A detailed Statement of Work and specifications will be provided with final solicitation documents. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Pier 1 within the Charlestown Navy Yard of Boston National Historic Park, Boston, Massachusetts.
