Background The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is issuing a contract for the Statewide Fire Alarm Replacements and Fire Watch at the California State Prison, Solano. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems within the prison facilities. This is critical to the overall mission of CDCR in maintaining secure and safe environments for both staff and inmates. Work Details The Consultant shall provide all services required by the Scope of Services outlined in Appendix A, including but not limited to: 1. Investigation, appraisals, or valuations of existing latent conditions, facilities, or equipment; verification of existing drawings or other CDCR-furnished information. 2. Assisting CDCR in retaining additional services as required in support of the construction project, including professional services of special consultants, testing, and inspection. 3. Obtaining or training maintenance personnel or negotiating maintenance service agreements. 4. Providing services related to construction performed by CDCR. 5. Providing construction claim review, analysis, support, and/or expert witness services. Additionally, Consultant will be compensated for all services and expenses incurred in performance of the scope outlined in Appendix A including travel, per diem, and any other direct or indirect expenses incidental to providing the services. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is expected to continue until the completion of the construction project. Specific timelines will be outlined in subsequent amendments as necessary. Place of Performance The work will be performed at California State Prison, Solano. Bidder Requirements Consultants must comply with California Government Code Section 4525 et al., which requires that services be provided by licensed architects, registered engineers, or licensed general contractors. Additionally, all consultants and subconsultants must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as per Labor Code Section 1725.5.
