Background The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is issuing a solicitation for the procurement of Mineral Aggregate Class 4. This contract aims to supply materials that meet the ARDOT Standard Specification for Highway Construction, ensuring quality and compliance with state regulations. Work Details The contractor will provide a total of 1,454,900 tons of Mineral Aggregate Class 4 to be stockpiled at specified locations in Hot Spring, Prairie, and Pulaski counties. The material must meet the requirements outlined in ARDOT Standard Specification for Highway Construction, Section 403.01 & 403.02 (2014 Edition). The contractor must certify that all materials meet specifications prior to delivery and may be subject to retesting by ARDOT. Delivery must be completed by May 1, 2026, with no deliveries on Fridays. The successful bidder is required to notify the District Engineer ten days before commencing delivery and ensure continuous delivery until completion. Period of Performance The contract period runs until May 1, 2026, with specific delivery deadlines as outlined in the solicitation. Place of Performance Delivery locations include: - 5351 AR 222 Maem, AR 72104; - 3949 Highway 38W Des Arc, AR 72040; - A location south at Remington Road on Highway 15 crossing over Highway 70 towards Keo. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a Bid Bond of 5% at the time of bid opening. Personal and company checks are not acceptable as Bid Bonds. Bidders must also complete certifications regarding Israel Boycott restrictions and illegal immigrant employment restrictions as per Arkansas law. Additionally, bidders must certify they do not employ or contract with illegal immigrants.
