Background The City of Meriden is seeking an experienced firm or individual to provide municipal project oversight services for the new Emergency Communications Center (ECC) project. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective oversight during the construction process, adhering to relevant Connecticut building codes while maintaining a comprehensive view of the project. Work Details The selected clerk of the works will be responsible for providing oversight services throughout the ECC project. The clerk must possess a good understanding of all aspects of construction and relevant Connecticut building codes. While technical skills in specific construction trades are not required, the clerk must maintain a holistic view of the project and appreciate the details involved in various parts of the work. Importantly, the clerk must not assume roles that belong to other members of the building team, such as design team, construction manager/general contractor, construction superintendent, or safety officer. Period of Performance The contract will commence on January 23, 2026, and conclude on February 10, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed in Meriden, Connecticut.
