Background The 183d Wing of the Air National Guard, located at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, IL, is issuing this Request for Quote (RFQ) for a non-personal services contract to provide a new vehicle exhaust ventilation system in Vehicle Maintenance Building 19 (B-19). The building underwent renovations in 2024 but currently lacks an adequate local exhaust ventilation system, which is necessary for compliance with Air Force Occupational Safety standards. The goal of this contract is to rectify this deficiency by installing a suitable exhaust system that meets all applicable standards and regulations. Work Details The scope of work includes providing all necessary design, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, supervision, travel, inspection, and labor to install a new vehicle exhaust ventilation system in B-19. Specific tasks include: - Conducting a site visit to verify conditions before design; - Ensuring the system meets commercial and military standards; - Providing operational checks and function test reports; - Collecting warranties for materials and workmanship; - Sealing all penetrations made during installation; - Returning existing construction elements to their original condition; - Providing training to government personnel on the operation of the new systems.
