Background

The Oregon State Medical Examiner is seeking locum tenens forensic pathologists to assist their six forensic pathologists with a growing caseload. Oregon is a popular relocation destination, offering diverse outdoor activities and a vibrant community, particularly in Portland, known for its exceptional food scene.

Work Details

The locum tenens pathologist will work independently across various case types under the supervision of the Chief Medical Examiner. Responsibilities include triaging cases for the day. The position does not involve homicides, pediatric cases, or those of high medico-legal interest. The facility is equipped with a LODOX scanner, in-house toxicology, in-house forensic anthropology, and a team of experienced autopsy assistants. Compensation for this role is set at $1750 per day.

Period of Performance

The pathologist must be able to commit to at least 3 consecutive days.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed in Oregon, specifically within the jurisdiction of the Oregon State Medical Examiner's office.

Bidder Requirements
