Facilities Operations & Maintenance Janitorial Svc

Background

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), specifically the Great Lakes Toxicology and Ecology Division (GLTED) within the Office of Research and Development (ORD), requires contractor support for the operation and maintenance (O&M;) and janitorial services for its Duluth facility. This facility encompasses approximately 112,000 square feet, housing around 150 employees and complex equipment necessary for environmental research. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the laboratory facilities are maintained in optimal operating conditions to support ongoing research without interruption. Work Details: The contractor will be responsible for a variety of services including: 1. Operation and Maintenance (O&M;) Services: Ensuring that all laboratory physical buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained properly. 2. Grounds Maintenance: Upkeeping the external areas surrounding the facility. 3. Janitorial Services: Cleaning and maintaining the interior of the facility. 4. Repair By Replacement via Ordering Task Orders: Managing repairs through a task order process that includes written approvals from designated authorities. 5. Stockroom Supply and Operations Services: This includes inventory management, delivery of goods, property management assistance, chemical inventory management, and maintaining stockroom operations as per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The contractor will also handle daily deliveries, verify chemical deliveries, manage fleet vehicle reservations, and conduct annual inventories. Period of Performance: The anticipated performance period for this contract is five years. Place of Performance: The contract will be performed at the US EPA Facility located in Duluth, MN.
