Summary (Newest Update)

Background The contract is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Hawaii (NAVFAC HI), which operates under the Department of the Navy. The mission of NAVFAC HI includes providing facilities engineering services to support the Navy's operations. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) by constructing missile magazines and an entrance control facility, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Work Details The project involves the construction of four earth-covered Type H Box Magazines at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam West Loch Naval Magazine Annex. Additionally, it includes relocating the existing perimeter fence line to restrict access from public traffic routes in compliance with Explosives Safety Quantity Distance (ESQD) requirements. A new Entrance Control Facility (ECF) will also be constructed. The electrical power for both the magazines and ECF will be supplied via two new 11.5kV – 208V transformers, which will integrate into the existing JBPHH Navy Electrical System. The project specifically requires the use of Electro Industries/Gauge Tech Shark 270 Electric Meters for advanced metering capabilities, which are essential for capturing interval consumption and power quality information over secure communication networks. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, specifically at the West Loch Annex in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
