Summary (Newest Update)

Background The Warfighter & Futures Integration Division (WFID) in the Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC) serves as the Army's focal point for survivability, lethality, and vulnerability (SLV) materiel modeling and simulation. TDAC provides essential resources to Program Managers (PMs) to enhance system capabilities and optimize soldier survivability and lethality. The center conducts investigations, simulations, experiments, and analyses to quantify SLV against various battlefield threats. To meet customer needs, TDAC requires additional software engineering, development, and analytical support. Work Details The Contractor will provide analytical, technical, and development support for SLV Modeling and Simulation software projects. Key tasks include: 1. Software Development: Implement enhancements to BRL-CAD or VPS-EGM with project plans reviewed by relevant authorities. 2. Software Change Request Management: Track and prioritize changes for model applications. 3. Help Desk Support: Identify and resolve user issues with BRL-CAD or VPS-EGM software packages. 4. System Development: Ensure code compatibility across TDAC development environments (FreeBSD, Windows, Linux). 5. Software Development Activities: Gather requirements, design software, write code, develop test cases, create user documentation, and provide training for various SLV software activities. 6. Prepare briefing materials and technical papers for presentation within TDAC. 7. Personnel Management: Retain qualified personnel with necessary skills in programming languages such as C++, JAVA, etc., while maintaining a recruitment and retention plan. Place of Performance The primary location for contract performance is at TDAC facilities located in the Aberdeen Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG-AA), Maryland.
