Background

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the St. Cloud Health Care System in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is issuing a request for proposal (RFP) for a construction project aimed at enhancing emergency generator systems. This project is set aside for 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) in accordance with Public Law 109-461 and VAAR 819.7003(b). The goal of the contract is to install remote generator annunciators to improve operational efficiency and safety in emergency situations. Work Details: The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to install, test, and commission five hard-wired remote generator annunciator panels for emergency generators at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. Key tasks include: - Installing a communication network for each of the five generator panels; - Procuring and installing remote generator annunciators compatible with CAT EMCP 4 RS-485 or an approved equal; - Providing all cabling, conduit, media converters, fiber-jumpers, and other materials required for a hardwired signal from existing generators to new panels; - Coordinating with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the generators to ensure compliance with OEM recommendations; - Labeling all new cables and existing fiber utilized; - Completing all work in accordance with specifications, contract drawings, and related attachments. Period of Performance: The period of performance for this contract is one hundred (100) calendar days from the issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
