Background The West Virginia Department of Transportation, through its Procurement Division, is soliciting bids for a one-time purchase contract for structural steel intended for the Indian Creek Bridge project in District 09. The goal of this contract is to procure specific steel products that meet the required specifications to ensure the integrity and safety of the bridge construction. Work Details The contract requires the following items: 1. Steel Beam, W14 x 61 x 30' - Quantity: 7 each, Total Weight: 12,810 lbs. Must meet AASHTO M270 Grade 50 (ASTM A709 Grade 50) specifications. 2. Channel, C9 x 20 x 20' - Quantity: 3 each, Total Weight: 1,200 lbs. Must meet AASHTO M270 Grade 50 (ASTM A709 Grade 50) specifications. 3. Channel, ¾” x 10” x 20' - Quantity: 2 each, Total Weight: 1,020 lbs. Must meet AASHTO M270 Grade 50 (ASTM A709 Grade 50) specifications. Period of Performance The contract will be effective upon issuance of the Award Document and will remain in effect until all contracted goods have been delivered. Place of Performance Delivery is to be made to the Division of Highways District Nine Storage Lot located at 331 Brush Rd, Lewisburg, WV. Bidder Requirements Vendors must be registered with the West Virginia State Purchasing Division and comply with various state agencies including WVSOS, Tax Department, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Insurance. Additionally, vendors must provide proof of required licenses and insurance prior to contract award.
