Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to address electrical deficiencies identified in the Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) at the Vancouver VA campus. The goal of this contract is to enhance the safety and reliability of electrical systems within the facility, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and directives. Work Details The contractor will perform various electrical tasks across all buildings within the Vancouver VA campus. The scope of work includes: replacing, modifying, or upgrading existing electrical power distribution equipment and associated equipment. Specific tasks include: - Replacing or adjusting overcurrent protective devices - Providing building lightning protection - Replacing Building 11 Switchgear 'MSB' - Replacing Building 1 Switchgear 'MSB' - Replacing the existing Building 11/CLC Generator - Conducting facility-wide ground resistance testing as per VHA Directive 1028-8.J(6)e - Performing a facility-wide arc-flash hazard risk assessment with a report and labeling after all work has been completed, as specified in specification 26 05 73. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the Vancouver VA campus.
