Background Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is seeking sealed bids for the procurement of a CDL Truck Driving Simulator System to enhance their training programs. Work Details The contract includes the provision of a CDL Truck Driving Simulator System, which must consist of the following components: - Three 55” high-definition LED 4K flat screen displays with a 225° field-of-view. - An adjustable air ride seat equipped with a retractor three-point seat belt, seat belt sensor, and haptics for seat vibrations. - A digital steering system featuring an ignition switch, hazards, turn signals, wipers, wheel tilt, warning lights, indicators, switches, external lights (low and high beam), working air vents, and an air brake system. - Accelerator, brake, and clutch (manual) pedals. - Dashboard instruments displaying controls for commercial automatic and manual trucks. - Realistic vehicle sounds and dynamics. - Remote-controlled side-view simulated mirrors adjustment. - Heavy-duty manual transmissions (9, 10, 13, 15, and 18 speeds) & a 6-speed automatic transmission. - Multiple truck configurations simulating various vehicle types such as tractor semi-trailer and dump trucks. - Simulated responses to terrain and weather changes. - Integrated training environments for urban, suburban, rural, and highway driving scenarios. - Extensive library of driving scenarios with instructor guides. - Simulated weather effects including snow and rain. - Capability for real-time scenario recording and playback with overhead views. - Pre-trip inspection software and student record keeping capabilities. - On-site installation and instructor training for two campuses are required. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College located at 51 Main Street, Perkinston, MS 39573 and also at the George County Center located at 11203 Old Highway 63, Lucedale, MS 39452. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a valid Unique Entity ID (UEI) as per 2 CFR Part 25 and hold a valid registration through the System for Award Management (SAM) to do business with the federal government.
