Work Details The scope of work includes low slope roof removal and replacement with an EPDM roof system. This encompasses all associated flashings and roof-related work at the Food Service Building. Specific tasks include: 1. General Conditions, Mobilization, Close-Outs (Lump Sum) 2. Reroofing (Lump Sum) 3. New Roof Drains (Lump Sum) 4. Roof related MEP work (Lump Sum) 5. Special All Unit Price Work as specified in the Bid Schedule. Additionally, unit prices for contingent change orders include: - Remove and Replace Rusted/Deteriorated Steel Deck (300 SF) - Wire Brush and Prime Paint Steel Deck (1,200 SF) - Install new “Flat Stock” Deck Repair (100 SF) - Remove and Replace Existing Deteriorated Wood Nailers (700 Board FT) - Provide draped plastic protection over stored goods in warehouse (24 hours) Period of Performance The contract is expected to be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days from the start date, which will be determined upon award. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Woodland Center Correctional Facility located at 9036 E. M-36, Whitmore Lake, MI 48189. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be certified as a Qualified Disabled Veteran or a Michigan-Based Business to qualify for this contract. A performance bond and a payment bond are required for all bids over $50,000. Each bid must include a five percent bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bid bond. Bidders must also comply with asbestos abatement regulations if applicable.
