Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this presolicitation for commercial construction services aimed at performing electrical repairs at the Harwood Warehouse, which is part of the VA Boston Healthcare System. The goal of this contract is to address and repair electrical components that were damaged by a fire, ensuring the facility can operate safely and effectively. Work Details The contractor will perform comprehensive electrical repair work at the Harwood Maintenance Building. This includes: - Removing and installing a 100amp fused disconnect; - Installing a 42 circuit panel board; - Installing new circuit breakers; - Installing LED lighting fixtures; - Installing receptacles; - Running sump pump conduits/conductors; - Installing junction boxes for overhead doors. Additional tasks include running conduits, making terminations, and labeling components. Contractors are required to provide their own utilities, maintain site safety, clean the site daily, and arrange for limited storage.
