The purpose of this justification is to limit the source of procurement to Colonna’s Shipyard due to urgent maintenance needs for the APL-61 barge, which supports the crew of the USS Truman (CVN-75) during its repair period. Work Details The work to be performed includes: 1. Accountability of Manhour and Material Reservation; 2. Rebuild and install Bilge Pumps; 3. Inspect and calibrate Gauges; 4. Troubleshoot Ventilation System; 5. Install Freezer Box Evaporator, Condenser, and Compressor units; 6. Inspect and certify Gaylord Hood System; 7. Inspect, test, and certify Firefighting System; 8. Install CHT Aeration Pressure Switch Cabling; 9. Accomplish Barge Systems Check Off List; 10. Provide Towing Service; 11. Provide Temporary Service. This work is essential to ensure that the crew can live onboard the APL-61 while the USS Truman is being repaired at Norfolk Naval Station.
