Notice Type This is a Sources Sought Notice issued for market research purposes only, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and 48 CFR Part 326 (Buy Indian Act). This notice does not constitute a solicitation, request for proposal, or commitment by the Government. ________________________________________ 2. Purpose The purpose of this notice is to identify qualified Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) capable of performing the requirements described herein. The Government intends to determine whether this requirement can be fulfilled through an ISBEE set aside under the Buy Indian Act. ________________________________________ 3. Requirement Description The Government is seeking capability statements from ISBEEs for the following requirement: Title: Fuel Oil Furnace Replacement with Propane Heating System.
Replace the existing fuel oil furnace, tank, and associated piping and support equipment with a propane-based heating system to improve efficiency and safety at BIA Building 308.

Background The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is seeking to identify qualified Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) capable of performing a specific requirement under the Buy Indian Act. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing fuel oil furnace and associated systems with a propane-based heating system at BIA Building 308 to enhance efficiency and safety. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Project Coordination: Conduct a pre-construction site visit, develop a detailed work plan, coordinate with local permitting authorities, and maintain communication with the Facilities Manager. 2. Decommissioning of Existing Fuel Oil System: Safely disconnect and remove existing fuel oil lines, piping, and the furnace while ensuring proper disposal according to environmental regulations. 3. Installation of Propane Furnace System: Select and install a propane furnace rated between 90,000 and 125,000 BTUs, ensuring proper installation in compliance with relevant codes. 4. Propane Tank Installation: Install a propane tank with a capacity between 300 and 400 gallons, adhering to safety distances from buildings and ignition sources. 5. Piping and Hardware Installation: Install necessary piping from the propane tank to the building and ensure all systems are pressure tested for leaks. 6. System Commissioning: Perform full system startup, verify operation of all components, conduct final inspections, and provide documentation of installation.
