Background The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is seeking quotes for the purchase and installation of a Service Body and Upfitting Services for an ITD owned Truck. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the service body meets specific requirements and specifications, providing a functional and durable solution for ITD's operational needs. Work Details The contractor will provide a new 2025 Ford F450 4WD 60CA cab and chassis with a dual rear wheel configuration and diesel engine. The service body must be a READING Part No. U108ADW Classic II. This includes installation of various electrical components, wiring, switches, fasteners, welding, paint, and upfitting specifications such as: - Lights - Rearview camera - Inverter installation - Fire extinguishers - Jump start plugs - Caution striping - Side striping and logos - Mud flaps - E-Track The contractor must also conduct a pre-build conference with ITD representatives to review specifications. All work must comply with state and federal safety standards. Period of Performance The installation and delivery of the service body must be completed within 180 days after receiving the chassis from ITD. Weekly updates are required if delays occur. Place of Performance Installation will take place at the contractor's facility; however, vehicles must be transported to ITD Headquarters located at 3311 W. State St., Boise, ID 83703 for final acceptance. Bidder Requirements Vendors must be authorized distributors or manufacturers of the service body offered. They are required to provide documentation proving compliance with specifications and warranty requirements covering a minimum period of six years after acceptance. Additionally, contractors must have Garage Keepers Liability Insurance coverage of no less than $500,000.
