The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District (LRN), intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for a firm fixed-price (FFP) construction contract for the Blount Avenue Channel Modification Project in Cleveland, TN. This project aims to modify the channel along South Mouse Creek to improve flood conveyance and reduce flood elevations. Work Details: The Blount Ave. Channel Modification Project consists of a channel modification approximately 1,300 linear feet in length along the left bank. The work includes channel excavation, hauling, grading, stripping, hydroseeding, planting, clearing and grubbing, and riprap placement around existing sewer manholes. The channel bench cut ranges from 0 to 60 feet wide and is raised approximately 1.5 feet above the stream bed and normal stream flows. The design features a bench cut into the overbank with a 2H:1V side slope.
