Background

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is planning to solicit bids for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract aimed at constructing the Mountain Home VAMC EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Tier 3 Data Center. This project is located at the Corner of Lamont Street and Veterans Way in Mountain Home, TN 37684.

Work Details

The Mountain Home VAMC requires a general contractor to manage the design efforts to relocate the main computer room (MCR) on Floor 3 of Building 77 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center (JHQVAMC) to meet VA standards for a Tier 3 data center. The work will take place in rooms 3A109 (existing MCR), 3A112, 3A112A, 3A112D, 3A113, 3A113A, and 3A212. Tasks include: - Providing redundant power distribution; - Implementing computer room cooling and distribution; - Replacing aged equipment; - Ensuring grounding and bonding; - Managing cable organization; - Installing new fiber and copper connections to the new MCR; - Providing a new clean-agent fire suppression system; - Constructing a new fire-rated assembly within the MCR with properly sealed penetrations; - Creating a designated space in room 3A112A for cylinder storage related to the clean agent system.

Approximately 200 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
