Background The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a vendor to provide Medical Director Services at the Elgin Mental Health Center located at 750 S. State Street, Elgin, IL 60123. The goal of this contract is to ensure quality clinical care and oversight at the facility through the appointment of a qualified Medical Director. Work Details The vendor shall source, screen, and present an Illinois-licensed physician to serve as the Medical Director for the Elgin Mental Health Center. Responsibilities include supervising medical staff, maintaining quality of clinical care, developing and implementing policies related to medical ethics and individual care programs. The Medical Director must have an Illinois medical license and board certification in Psychiatry, along with three years of administrative experience in a medical/clinical program. The vendor will also verify qualifications, conduct background checks, and provide malpractice insurance coverage for the Medical Director. Training on infection control practices will be provided, and confidentiality regarding patient records must be maintained. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon execution and run through June 30, 2028, with options for renewal for additional terms up to a maximum total term of ten years.
