Background

The Louisville, Kentucky, Veterans Affairs Regional Office (VARO), part of the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), is issuing a requirement for a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to provide construction-related services. The goal of the contract is to enhance security through the installation of a Physical Access Control System (PACS) and Panic Alarm Installations at designated out-based facilities. Work Details: The scope of work includes: 1. Installation of a Physical Access Control System (PACS) at the out-based facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. 2. Removal and subsequent replacement of a Panic Alarm System at the out-based facility in Fort Knox, Kentucky. It is specified that no existing PACS will be removed at the Bowling Green facility. The project requires all labor, personnel, transportation, materials, software, apparatus, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for completion. Period of Performance: The contract will be performed over a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Place of Performance: The construction projects will be performed at two locations: 1. Bowling Green Out-Based Facility, 400 East Main Street, Suite 300, Bowling Green, KY 42101. 2. Fort Knox Out-Based Facility, 26 Pershing Drive, Building 1379, Fort Knox, KY 40121.
