Background The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking to award a firm fixed price purchase order for an On-site General Hydrostatics (GHS) Training course. This training is intended for 15 NSWCCD employees and will be conducted by a certified GHS instructor at the NSWCCD W. Bethesda location. The course aims to enhance the skills of beginner and intermediate users of the GHS software, which is essential for designing and building watercraft. Work Details The contractor shall provide a 3-day, 8-hour per day General Hydrostatics (GHS) Training course on-site at NSWCCD W. Bethesda location. The training will cover: - Model building using Section Editor, Part Maker, and Model Converter - GHS command language including macros and variables, run_file generation - Introduction to run files including load conditions and stability criteria - Stability topics: intact, damage, heeling moments, and free surface - Longitudinal Strength calculations including waves - Introduction to Load Editor. The contractor must also provide temporary licenses for all software used during the training, advance instructions on downloading and installing the GHS software, and all necessary training materials and documentation.
