Background Salem-Keizer Public Schools, Oregon School District 24J, is the second-largest school district in Oregon, serving over 37,000 students across 65 schools. The District operates a Wide Area Network (WAN) that connects its schools and administrative buildings. This project aims to enhance the reliability and resilience of the network infrastructure by replacing rack-mounted Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) devices in network closets over the next three years. This initiative aligns with E-rate funding strategies to ensure continuous operation of critical networking equipment during power interruptions. Work Details The contract involves supplying various models of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Power Distribution Units (PDUs) as follows: - APC SMX1500RM2UCNC or equivalent – Quantity: up to 210 - APC SMX48RMBP2U or equivalent – Quantity: up to 20 - APC SRT5KRMXLTUS or equivalent – Quantity: up to 75 - APC AP9562 or equivalent – Quantity: up to 210 - APC AP9559 or equivalent – Quantity: up to 75 Technical specifications include rack-mounted UPS systems capable of supporting networking gear for a minimum of 9 minutes during outages. Features must include surge protection and automatic voltage regulation. PDUs must provide surge suppression for circuits not protected by UPS systems. The project is contingent on E-rate Category 2 funding for eligible components. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of three years, starting from the execution date until all goods are delivered and any potential warranties expire.
