Background Cobb County is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide armored courier services for the Cobb County Finance Department at various locations throughout the County. The goal of this contract is to ensure the highest degree of safety and security for its employees and financial assets by utilizing a third party for transporting deposit media to a bank’s central money center/vault operation. Work Details The contractor will provide armored courier services on a daily basis, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding designated County holidays and weekends. Services include the pickup of cash and checks from multiple facilities within Cobb County, with specific locations including: 1. Cobb County Finance - $125,000 average daily value 2. Cobb County Water System - $225,000 average daily value 3. Cobb County Transit - $15,000 average daily value 4. Cobb County Community Development - $45,000 average daily value 5. Cobb County State Court Clerk - $20,000 average daily value 6. Cobb County Probate Court - $5,000 average daily value (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 7. Seven Springs Water Park - $5,000 average daily value (seasonal pickup from Memorial Day through Labor Day). Armored vehicles must park in designated areas during pickups and deliveries to avoid safety hazards. Period of Performance The contract will be for a period of three (3) years from the date of award/contract execution with an option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms, not exceeding six (6) years total. Place of Performance Services will be performed at various locations throughout Cobb County, Georgia. Bidder Requirements Proposers must comply with all applicable federal and state security and immigration laws including the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act. Additionally, proposers must provide evidence of a valid Cobb County occupation tax certificate if maintaining an office within unincorporated Cobb County or evidence of a certificate to do business in any town or municipality in Georgia.
