Background The VA Boston Healthcare System, specifically the Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO 1), is seeking a vendor to provide Triannual Electrical Testing for the maintenance, inspection, testing, and calibration of the Electrical Power Distribution System at the West Roxbury VAMC. This initiative aims to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems critical to healthcare operations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Maintenance, inspection, testing, and/or calibration of the Electrical Power Distribution System and all its components. 2. Contractors must be certified by the International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) as NETA Certified Technicians and have completed OSHA-approved 10-hour construction safety training. 3. A minimum of five years of experience in maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical systems in healthcare or similar facilities is required. 4. Contractors must have access to relevant standards including NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards. 5. All necessary tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must comply with OSHA standards. 6. If subcontractors are used, the prime vendor must be present during all subcontractor activities and provide a detailed work breakdown in their proposal.
