Background The Hawaii State Art Museum is seeking proposals for the installation of a new kitchen countertop in its Café. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the café's kitchen area while adhering to Building Codes and Department of Health standards. Work Details The scope of work includes: 1. Carpentry: Removal of all existing cabinets and countertops, including disposal. 2. Countertops: Installation of a new hand sink undermount and reuse of the existing stainless steel ice bin, both with new faucets. Installation of new countertops. 3. Plumbing: Supply and install a new heavy-duty undermount hand sink, along with all new plumbing supplies and a commercial-grade drain system, including insulated copper piping to the existing floor sink. 4. Electrical: Replacement of existing counter wall outlets with new GFCI receptacles; existing ceiling light fixture work is excluded. 5. Kitchen Equipment: Purchase and installation of two undercounter, two-door storage refrigerators (Brand: Turbo Air Model # MUR60, approximately $3,700 each). The design includes one refrigerator (62 inches wide) in the front cabinet with locking doors and caster wheels for service.
