Background The Commonwealth of Virginia, specifically the Department of Corrections, is seeking to procure a Heavy-Duty Stake Body for a 2026 Ford F350 truck. The goal of this solicitation is to award a contract to a single responsive and responsible contractor who can furnish and install the specified heavy-duty stake body according to the outlined requirements. Work Details The contractor shall furnish and install an 8-ft x 12-ft platform heavy-duty stake body on a Commonwealth-owned 2026 Ford F350 standard Cab-Chassis dual rear wheel truck with approximately an 84-inch cab to axle. The specifications include: - New, never sold or previously installed stake body - Finish Paint Color: Powder Coated Gloss Black - 1/8” thick One-Piece Diamond Plate Steel Deck - 7” Structural Channel long sills - 4” Structural Channel Crossmembers on 12” Centers - Underside framework coated with commercially applied weather protection spray coating - Rear view headboard made of 10 Gauge Steel - Internal Deep Stake Pockets - Full length steel side tie down rails - Removable Steel Stake Racks (42” height x 48” length) - Rear Barn Swing door style Stake Racks - Two side underbed front boxes (24” x 10”, Steel diamond plate lockable storage compartment) on both sides - Rear Bumper Impact Guard ICC - Rear Heavy-Duty 2-1/2” square receiver for trailer towing with safety chain slots - Trailer wiring harness (7-pin and 4-pin receptor) - Recessed LED Marker DOT FMVSS108 lighting and Reflective DOT markers - Rear Mudflaps installed.
